Project Breakdown: HoneyFace Esthetics
NEW WEBSITE ALERT!
I am beyond thrilled to announce a new website launch for HoneyFace Esthetics. This has been a long work in progress and seeing the launch come to life was incredibly rewarding.
Nyimah had a business preference for Wix, and while my personal preference has been Squarespace, I was determined to give it a try for her! I soon discovered that Wix has so many great features, specifically for service providers looking to scale their business. I spent some time in the platform just to orient myself (Wix vs Squarespace platform breakdown coming soon). I ended up loving Wix and have decided to add it to my website offering, dependent on client preference. Ultimately, Wix worked perfectly for this project so I could provide Nyimah a website that truly reflected her business and the hard work she’s putting in day in and day out, on a platform she was familiar with.
The Process:
Prior to working with me, Nyimah and HoneyFace Esthetics worked with my friend and perpetual coworker, CRAE. CRAE and I have worked together in some capacity for 8 years now, so it only felt natural to collaborate in another way. She will be my design and logo go-to person, and this was a perfect project to launch us off on our new venture! CRAE set HoneyFace Esthetics up with a beautiful color scheme and font selection, and was able to provide extra deliverables so I could seamlessly integrate them into the website.
From the landing page to booking a service to the products recommended, I wanted the website to feel luxurious, while still accessible and welcoming. The user experience (utilizing important integrations) became the most important aspect of my website design. I wanted to make sure that the client was able to find the information they needed, while also being drawn to book an appointment to experience how Nyimah and her services makes you feel.
When Nyimah filled out my client homework, she requested 5 pages: Home, About Us, Services, Shop, and Contact, requesting online booking integration, e-commerce functionality to sell products, mobile-friendly design, and secure payment processing for both services and products. She described the brand to me as “Sophisticated. Passionate. Empowering.” From those three words alone, I knew this would be a fun project that I would enjoy.
I started off with the Home page and integrated HoneyFace Esthetics’ great pictures and beautiful Instagram page to showcase the true experience you’ll get once you walk into the luxury suite. I found myself redoing the page and adjusting over and over until I felt luxury dripping off the page. The colors that Nyimah and CRAE created together really helped that vision come to life. Additionally, I wanted to showcase the glowing reviews that HoneyFace had received, because they truly speak to the sophistication of the experience provided.
The product shop was possibly my favorite part of this whole project. While tedious, I found myself wanting to buy every single product. Adding in variants such as product weight, color, and flavor was so easy with Wix. I really appreciated how easily you can duplicate products and adjust just a few key pieces to create a brand new sellable product.
HoneyFace Esthetics: Business Takeaways
I so wish I was in the area to take visit her luxurious service offerings, but lucky for me, she offers a virtual skincare consultation. I jumped at that chance and let me tell you…she KNOWS her stuff. She immediately gave me recommendations for my skin types and I can’t wait to implement her suggestions. For anyone looking to up your skincare game, run, don’t walk to visit HoneyFace Esthetics. For those of you lucky enough to live in the New York/New Jersey area, I’m jealous, and I can’t wait to see your glowing skin after one of HoneyFace’s incredible facials!
